RM247.99DR F HEULE – THE NETHERLANDSDr F Heule, Professor of Dermatology at the Academic Hospital in Rotterdam, performed a twelve week double-blind placebo-controlled study on the effects of IMEDEEN on 46 women, aged between 40-65, all of whom had mild to moderate signs of photo-ageing. At the end of the period, Dr Heule observed that a number of parameters, including wrinkles, skin texture and dilated capillaries had improved significantly in the women taking IMEDEEN. Objective measurements on this group also showed an increase in skin thickness. Dr Heule concluded that IMEDEEN has a beneficial effect on signs of photo-ageing after twelve weeks of use
DR MARIANNE KIEFFER – DENMARK The Danish dermatologist, Dr Marianne Kieffer, carried out a year long clinical study on the effects IMEDEEN on 144 women, aged between 35-50, all of whom had mild to moderate signs of photo-ageing. At the end of the study, a statistically significant improvement was shown in all the objective measuring tests, leading Dr Kieffer to conclude that IMEDEEN is active in the dermis where it improves basic skin structure and texture, as well as the skin’s natural ability to retain moisture. In order to quantify the benefits of Imedeen Plus in improving skin tone, texture and appearance, a twelve-week double-blind, placebo controlled clinical efficacy study on 74 women was conducted by renowned US clinical investigator, Dr Monya L Sigler. The results of both the objective measurements by dermatologists and the self-assessment by participants were extremely impressive. SCIENTIFIC STUDY ON IMEDEEN PLUS - DR ODILE DAMOUR – LABORATORY FOR SKIN SUBSTITUTES, LYON, FRANCE
The technique of growing a fully developed 3-D skin equivalent in a laboratory environment was perfected by renowned French scientist, Dr Odile Damour and is widely used for testing the mode of action of various skincare ingredients and products.
In the study, Imedeen Plus active ingredients were used in the same ratio as in the original tablet to feed the skin cells of the skin equivalent. The effects of the ingredients were measured and compared to the control cultures which had been developed in parallel without supplementation.
The results were impressive. Compared to the controls, the skin equivalent supplemented with Imedeen Plus ingredients showed a substantial increase in the density of the dermis. Detailed investigation also showed an increased amount of protein fibres - the elements that give skin its strength and elasticity.
